September 10, 2008 My class and I are making observations outside of our window each month. We have a thermometer and a tall tree. We have a couple of flowers. They are purple and white. The leaves are starting to turn red, brown and yellow. Berries are growing big. It is 77 degrees. I will be looking forward to writing again. - Danny

I will be looking forward to writing again. –Colby Today we looked out our window for Room with a View. I have noticed that the trees are changing different colors. So are the leaves. They are turning brown, red and orange. The temperature is 80 degrees. It is 1:30 P.M. There are many berries out there. We found some very unusual berries too. Our courtyard is nice. –Sara Today is October 9, This is our second observation we have done. The temperature is 80 degrees. There is a little breeze. It is a sunny day. The leaves are a big change from last month. Some leaves are red, yellow and orange. Each month we look out our window. When we were out there it was 1:30 P.M. We looked out the window and leaves were on the ground. I love to look out the window. -Hailey

Room With a View- by Meghan My class and I were doing observations. I saw lots of leaves in the courtyard. I saw conifers too. The time was 1:00 pm. My school is Highland School in Sylvania, Ohio. The temperature was 50 degrees. Room With a View- by Patrick I’m Patrick. I live in Sylvania, Ohio. I go to Highland School. It is 1:’’pm. It’s Nov. 11, It is 49 degrees. Broad-leaf trees have completely lost their leaves. The weather: Mostly cloudy. The evergreens, called conifers, are still green. Cirrus clouds cover the sky. The trees are getting ready for December-January sleep. The leaves are orange-red. I expect December and November are a BIG difference. Room With a View- Jimmy Today at Highland School after lunch recess we did Room With a View. It is about 49 degrees. It is November 11, It is 1:10 in Ohio. Today in Sylvania, Ohio it is cold. In the courtyard there are a lot of leaves. It is fun doing Room With a View. Room With a View- by Carley It is a beautiful day outside. The temperature is 49 degrees. Today on December 10 we looked out of some windows, because we were doing Room with a View. There are stratus clouds out in the sky. It is about degrees and it is cold. There aren’t many leaves on the trees. We have a little white bird house on our tree. –Colette Today my class and I are doing Room with a View. I go to Highland. It is very cold out here in Sylvania. It is about 30 degrees here. The clouds are stratus here. It is about 2:00 here. There are almost no leaves on the trees. There are a lot of leaves on the ground. I wonder how it will be next year. -Abby Mi. Today is December 10, My class and I are looking out our window to see if it changed from last month. Outside our window it is like a graveyard to dead plants. The weather is 30 degrees and a lot of leaves are on the ground. There are not many much berries on the trees, the grass is brown and plants are dead. What will it look like in January?

Today is January 14, The snow is falling down. The conifers are white. The snow is white sparkles. Our temperature is 20 degrees. Some of the berries are still on the tree. -Colby, Selena, Meghan, Macy Goodbye plants, hello snow. The wind makes it 1 degrees. The time is 2:04. It is lightly snowing. The leaves disappeared like magic. There are broad-leaved trees outside. They are as bare as feet in the summer. There are mounds of snow as tall as 11 bricks. If Phil sees his shadow, we’ll be back in winter. -Zack, Colette, Patrick, Brandon B. Jan. 14, 2009 We did a Room With a View today. The wind chill is 1 degree. The temperature is 11 degrees and about 2 feet of snow. There are absolutely no leaves. It is so fun doing Room With a View. –Andrew, Sara, Anthony, Abby Mi.

Feb. 10, 2009 Today we are doing room with a view. The trees are getting buds on them. The temperature is about 61 degrees outside. Lots of snow melted. The trees have no leaves on them. It is warm today. The grass is wet. –Meghan ******************************************************** Today is Feb. 10, When we looked out the window we saw leaf buds on the tree. It is a cool day and cooler than yesterday. Some plants are starting to grow. Our birdhouse in the courtyard has a cherry in front of it (probably to attract robins). In the courtyard on the trees are still no leaves but on the ground there is. -Collaborative class work Photo by Abby Mo.
