 Chinese Flag  Population: 1,344,130,000 people!!!  Capital: Beijing  China has the most citizens out of all the countries in the entire world!!!

 The Dragon is an important symbol in Chinese culture.  Most Chinese people view the Dragon as a symbol of power and strength!

 Hemp- string used to weave baskets  Gingko nuts- a type of nut found in the seeds from Gingko trees; they are usually eaten on special occasions in the Chinese culture.

 Turn and Talk to your neighbors about the following questions:  Who were the main characters in the story?  How is this story different than “Little Red Riding Hood”?  Which story ending did you like better, “Lon Po Po” or “Little Red Riding Hood”?  Who is “Po Po”?
