Sign Language and Communication Kia Vang Interpersonal Communication

What is sign language? It’s a form of language expressed by visible Hand gestures facial expression body language

Hand gesture Hand gesture can be considered as a form of communication because as you can see people use hand gestures as a way of interacting with the other people.  Hand gestures are not only used for people who are deaf or mute, but sometime it is use to explain things in a more visual way to understand one another.

Different meaning of hand gesture Hand gestures have different meanings in different countries. That is because different cultures have attached different meanings to traditional hand gestures. What is acceptable in one country may be unacceptable in another

Facial Expression Facial expression can be another form of communication without having to say anything. People can just look at your face and tell your mood whether you are in a good mood or not.  Facial expressions can sometimes be misunderstood to being another mood when it’s something else.

Body Language Body language comes in group of signals and postures, depending on the internal emotions and mental states. Recognizing a whole bunch of signals is far more reliable than trying to interpret individual elements.

Different Types of Body Language Aggressive body language Emotional body language Romantic body language

Sign language is a communication that comes in all kinds of form Sign language is a communication that comes in all kinds of form.  It doesn’t mean just speaking; it also involves many different things.  For example, imagine talking to someone with no mood or no facial expressions, wouldn’t that be boring and hard to understand.  Someone can tell their friend they were mad, but if they don’t show any sign or sense of aggressive body language, their friend could be confused if that person was really mad.  Communication can be interacted in many different ways.  Not only humans know how to communicate even animals do too.
