NED ALUMNI ASSOCIATION Connecting Alumni Around the World About NED Alumni Association Is an alumni organization located in the State of New York whose sole purpose is to benefit NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan, by promoting its image, its resources and improving its physical and educational environment. Is open for membership to all graduates of NEDUET regardless of discipline or year of graduation. Reaches out to independent NED Alumni organizations located in major world cities and encourages them to assist and participate in major events organized by NED Alumni Association. Assists and supports formation of Alumni Chapters in locations with large concentrations of NED Alumni. Is not associated with any religious or political group Is solely run and managed by its Board of Trustees.

NED ALUMNI ASSOCIATION Connecting Alumni Around the World Brief History NED Alumni Association [NEDAA] was formed in 2001 by four New York area alumni who wanted to do something different from get to gathers, dinners, socializing and networking. Even though we do not discourage these activities we wanted to be a parent organization that would bring all these various NED groups that are scattered throughout the world together for a common and permanent cause. We try to hold our annual meetings in different cities to bring attention to our cause and with the goal to form a Chapter there. Our first Annual Meeting was held in Long Island, New York in which only four Alumni attended. Since then our numbers have doubled each year. Our very first Chapter was formed in Houston this year and by the end of this year we are hoping to have at least three more Chapters. The Founding Members of this Association are Ehtisham Siddiqui, Moin Ahmed, Javed Riaz and Ahmad Siddiqui that comprise its current Board of Trustees.

NED ALUMNI ASSOCIATION Connecting Alumni Around the World Membership INDIVIDUAL-Open to all Graduates of NED AFFILIATE-Dues paying members who have served at least five years are eligible to apply. Members with Masters or higher qualifications join as Affiliates. FELLOW-Dues paying members who have served at least ten years or Affiliates who have served at least 5 years are eligible to apply. Professors and Academic Faculty Members of any recognized University start as Fellows. CHARTER – By Invitation Only LIFE – By Invitation Only FOUNDER – Membership Closed MEMBERSHIP DUES- Except for Life and Founder all memberships are renewable annually. Membership duration is from January to December. All dues for the following year must be submitted to the Treasurer no later than the last business day in December.
