HOW MATH APPLIES TO THE REAL WORLD!!! 4)You have a 100 lb. bag of fertilizer. That would mean you have 10 lbs of N, 6 lbs of P and 4 lbs of K. Now what if you only had a 50 pound bag of this same fertilizer. How much N, P and K would you have?

5)Now, let’s say you need to fertilize 5,000 square feet of lawn. You are using a fertilizer called Ammonium sulfate which is 20% nitrogen and have been told to fertilize the lawn at a rate of 1 pound of actual nitrogen per 1,000 square feet. How many pounds of ammonium sulfate do you need of ?
