Our Mission: Engage with internal and external stakeholders for synergy and widespread impact. Bring lasting and sustainable development by interventions in areas of education & vocational training, health & disability, women & child development, environment and other emerging needs of society. Strive to provide leadership and be a benchmark in the field of CSR with our ethics and governance.

HIV/AIDS Prevention Programme with the Truckers Programme Outreach since 2003, focused on Long Distance Truckers (LDT’s) as the highest risk category Programme has covered 4.5 million LDTs Nearly 1million LDTs availed clinical services through the 15 Clinics branded as “Kavach” across the country 2.3 Lakh were diagnosed and treated for STIs during this period. Around 1.7 Lakh truckers were counseled and referred to govt institutions for HIV testing.

HIV/AIDS Prevention Programme with the Truckers Impact of the programme - HIV prevalence amongst LDTS was contained from 3.5% to 2.2%. STI has gone down considerably. Condom usage with paid partners has increased from 72% to 77% while at the same time consistent Condom usage with non paid partners has doubled from 19% to 34 % during this period. In 2007 KAVACH reached out to 8.3% of our target group which increased to 30% in 2009

TCI’s HIV/AIDS workplace Programme TCI one of the 18 Corporates to have a workplace policy & programme. Number of staff trained 2009-10 – 1374 Number of Sessions held 2009-10 - 58 TCI received a certificate of appreciation from ILO, presented by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Government of India for the work done in the area of awareness generation on HIV/AIDS at its workplace.

Disability In the year 2008 TCI in collaboration with BMVSS, Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sewa Samiti in Jaipur started an artificial limb center by name TCI Jaipur foot and Rehabilitation center situated in Patna (Bihar ) The Center provides artificial limbs, crutches and calipers to the poor in this center free of cost The center has provided services to people from all the 38 districts of Bihar by servicing in the centre and also conducting outdoor camps from time to time. Total number of people serviced are around4250 till Nov2010 We have eminent and nationally decorated orthopedic surgeons on board who provide free consultancy services

Education Primary Education Started a school in Tribal area in Eastern part of the country (State of Jharkhand) No of Students- 311 No of Teachers- 10+1 School till 8th Standard Management of the school – DAV , a reputed body Higher Education Introduction of Transport Systems & Management (TS&M) in Central Board of Secondary Education affiliated schools

Vocational Training Center Inaugurated in Feb 2010 in the campus of TCI DAV Public School in Khunti District of Ranchi. More than 200 women and girls have enrolled for various vocational courses. Training in Computers, Fashion Designing & Beauty Culture is presently on. Tie up with JHARCRAFT

Environment Initiatives towards the production of energy through alternate sources   TCI entered the wind power generation in Rajasthan and Maharashtra. We have an installed capacity of 11.5MW comprising a 5MW wind farm in Rajasthan and a 6.5 Megawatt in Maharashtra The graph below shows the total tonnage of CO2 emissions saved in the last three years through this initiative.
