An Innovative Approach to Reading Comprehension Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) is: A set of strategies to teach, learn and understand reading. Students work together in groups to read text & apply strategies to understand. Includes: monitor comprehension, review & synthesize information, ask & answer.
