INFLUENCES

DIFFERENT LANGUAGES

Different Languages

Why Learn a New Language?

New Language Adopt or imitate a different personality Tap into different parts of our brain Learn and use different sounds

New Language Takes us on a journey which makes us appreciate others and ourselves in a different way

English

People from different linguistic backgrounds converse in English Hence: They immerse in a different culture through the common language (English); and They discover different ways of expressing themselves; and enjoy the experience and learn from it. ENGLISH

Similarly, A person from a non English- speaking background speaks English to person from an English-speaking background Hence that person: immerses in a different culture through the common language (English); discovers different ways of expressing thoughts and feelings; and enjoys that experience and learns from it. ENGLISH

A native English-speaking person misses out on that experience English

A different language for a native English- speaking person can be: desire by others to practise and show off their foreign language skills by speaking English; reluctance to create unusual sounds by shaping lips and positioning tongue; and reluctance to lose control and command. REASONS FOR LEARNING ENGLISH

Therefore, the reason for not learning and using a different language for a native English speaking person is: A NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKING PERSON AND A NEW LANGUAGE

To fully immerse in a different culture, one needs to converse the language of that culture. FULL IMMERSION
