Review Lesson of World War II

What foreign policy did the U.S. follow after WWII? Isolationism - national policy of avoiding involvement in the affairs of other nations.

How did war debts and reparations affect European nations? War ravaged European countries could not pay back the U.S. for supplies it had given during the war. Germany had to borrow money from Britain. Germany also printed large amounts of money to help pay the debt which caused severe inflation. The end result was a world wide depression.
