David Crockett was born August 17, 1786,GreeneCounty, Tennessee. In David Crockett childhood he was bullied at school. He always went hunting with his dad and his older brothers.

Davy Crockett was the son of John and Rebecca Crockett,he was the 5 th of the nine children.Davy Crockett had 5 children.John,Willia,Margaret, Elizabeth,Rebecca,Matilda..

In 1806 Davy Crockett married Mary Finely and became a farmer. Frontier farming proved unrewarding, and in 1813 he decided to move his family to Franklin County, Tennessee. In 1813, shortly after Crockett moved to Franklin County, frontiersmen ambushed a band of Creek Indian warriors in southern Alabama. Nearby settlers gathered at Fort Mims. The Native Americans attacked the fort and killed over five hundred people. In 1815 Crockett's first wife died, and he married Elizabeth Patton.

Davy Crockett then volunteered to serve with the frontier military forces in the fight against the Native Americans. In September and October he served as a scout. He went on leave and then returned to military service from September 1814 to February During this time Crockett served as a scout and a hunter and apparently encountered little fighting.

Davy Crockett was a frontiersman, congressman, and defender of the Alamo. Davy began his military career in September of that year, when he enlisted in the militia as a scout under Major Gibson in Winchester, Tennessee, to avenge an Indian attack on Fort Mimms, Alabama. On November 3, under Andrew Jackson, Crockett participated in the retributive massacre of the Indian town of Tallussahatchee.

The physical descriptions of him go on to say, in part, that he "...was about six feet tall and 200 pounds, no surplus flesh, broad shouldered, stood erect, of great physical strength, fine appearance, swarthy complexion, high cheek bones, long, dark hair, his cheeks mantled with a rosy hue, eyes vivacious, and in form, had no superior."

Davy Crockett then joined Texans in their fight to hold the Alamo against a Mexican army. In the first week of March he and the other defenders of the Alamo died during the siege and capture of that fort by Mexican troops. Popular tradition says that Crockett was one of the last defenders who died during the final assault. In reality, Crockett was one of the first defenders to die— alone and unarmed, on March 6, 1836.

Davy Crockett was killed on March 6,1836,he was killed at the Battle of The Alamo. he was elected to the Tennessee state legislature in In 1826, Crockett was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. Congressman Crockett vehemently opposed many of the policies of President Andrew Jackson, most notably the Indian Removal Act. Crockett's opposition to Jackson's policies led to his defeat in the 1834 elections, prompting his angry departure to Texas shortly thereafter.

David Crockett in Congress fully documents the elections of 1829, 1831, 1833 & 1835, details the progress of both the Tennessee Land & the Indian Removal Bill. Between 1811 and 1813 Crockett fought under General Andrew Jackson in the Creek War. It was his reputation as an Indian etc.
