Family Literacy Night Kick-off Activities Overview & Book Distribution

Summer Reading is Key! If you don’t use it you lose it! If students do not read over the summer they actually lose their reading skills. The longer you go the worse it gets! High school dropout rates increase without summer reading opportunities. Together we can change this! Children who received and read 12 books over the summer scored much higher in testing than those who did not

“ABC’s” of Summer Reading Access: 12 books just for students and access to the renovated school library! Books: All chosen to match the student’s interests & reading level! Comprehension: A caring adult or peer is there to read with the students, plus tons of fun activities!
