Page 1 2. Characteristics of this Instructive

Page 2 This instructive is biblical. Even to find inspired support for the concept of committee it is based on the Word of God. It is operational, since it indicates the processes to operate a Finance and Stewardship Committee. It is practical, since it contains the activities that the committee must do so that the proposed object9ives are achieved. Therefore, the instructive is a kind of three tools in one, since it functions as a Stewardship Manual on one hand, and on the other as a Manual for the Finance and Stewardship Committee, and finally as a Stewardship Plan, due to all the initiatives and proposals that it contains to develop integral stewardship in the local church. Biblical, Operational & Practical.

Page 3 Innovative For some, the topic of stewardship is a worn- out matter. People always talk about the same thing, saying the same thing, with the danger of boring us with the same thing always. This instructive and the CGP materials have been prepared to take us out of that vicious circle. It’s main advantage is the innovative since the local church has never had a tool with the characteristics found in this Instructive. It is about new biblical approaches of stewardship. Of course, we are always going to talk about the same thing since the stewardship principles will never change, but they can be approached in a different way and the Bible contains an abundance of material to do so. This is so because in the same way that every morning God’s mercies are new, His Word is endless in offering us new perspectives and new approaches on what is stewardship

Page 4 Implementation Another important detail to be taken into consideration is the procedure to follow to implement this stewardship plan in the local church. Generally, the proposed plans require trainers to instruct the executors of the plan. But that is not the case with this Instructive because it is designed to be implemented in the local church without the need of outside trainers. The district pastor, the church board, the Mission president, any entity, can take on the challenge of implementing it with only careful study of the content and, following the instructions, put it into action.

Page 5 Why Make it Autorun? The reason this plan was designed as such is to provide instructions for the more than 18,000 congregations that are in the Inter- American Division, scattered in some 37 countries. There are 18 thousand adventist congregations in the Inter-American Division scattered in 37 countries. Since this is a growth plan for the member and the Church, it is understood that its implementation is urgent. It is essential for the growth of the membership of the Church However, who is able to train so quickly more than 18 thousand congregations, or more than 3,000 pastors, or 119 conferences/missions to respond to the urgency of member and church growth. 18,000 congregations, 3,000 pastors and 119 conferences/missions

Page 6 Versatility This is a very peculiar characteristic of this instructive. In its design it purposefully sought versality. The reason for this is that the versatile is more useful since it makes that instrument serve more than one purpose. For example, in the case of this summary,we already pointed out that it is a kind of three-in-one tool. We also mentioned how versatile it is to implement by not depending on outside trainers but rather that any church entity can get it going. It is versatile as reference material and in its phases of implementation.
