Norwegian sector competition: STRONG MEN

How it works Participants divide themselves into teams of 4 or 5 Each member of the team will participate in 5 exercises, both muscular and fitness There will be one round of tests on your first trip, and one on your second trip in Q2. The medic will coordinate the testing and receive the results when finished. The medic will forward the results to the HSE coordinator

Exercises 1.Plank Toes and under arms touching the floor, back is straight. The time you can stay in this position will be recorded.

2. 90’ against the wall Feet should be a shoulder width apart, knees bendt in a 90’ angle with back against the wall. The time you can stay in this position will be recorded.

3.The milk bucket! Stand with your arms out to the side, 90’ angle between shoulder and body. Hold 2,5 kg weights in each hand. When you cannot maintain the 90’ angle the clock stops.

4. How far you can run in 8 minutes, record number of km with 2 decimals Remember to warm up first!

5. Rowing / cycling Depending on what equipment you have on the rig, either rowing or cycling. All teams on the rig must do the same exercise! You record how far you can row / cycle in 8 minutes. Record km with 2 decimals

The competition The team with the combined best improvement from the first trip will win the INDIVIDUAL RIG COMPETITION Each team member will receive a 1500 NOK giftcertificate for XXL – sports equipment

The rig with the combined best improvement will win the NORWEGIAN FLEET CHAMPIONSHIP The winning rig will receive a ”travelling trophy” and all the fame and glory that comes with it, until they are challenged again next year.
