“But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:”  This is why he never comes out and says that he is God!  If he were an angel before his birth then why did he have to take on the form of a servant?

(1Ti 3:16) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
