Did you know?... What is the Boston Marathon? ->It is the oldest road race in the United States. It is held every year in the middle of April.

Did you know?... Who do think can take part in the Boston race? -> Both men and women.

Listen to the dialogue and decide whether the statements are True (T) or False (F) The Boston Marathon is held every year in the USA. It began in 1897. John McDermott clocked 2 hours 15 minutes and 10 seconds. Women were officially allowed to participate in the races in 1957. In 1984, 34 countries took part in the marathon. According to the race’s rules, runners have to pass through the centre of Boston.
