How Spiders are Like

Description of a Spider Feelers Legs Spiders belong to the family of arachnids. Arachnids are creatures with 8 legs such as scorpions, crabs and spiders. Spiders have 2 body parts called the cephalothorax (head and chest) and abdomen. Spiders have 8 eyes, spinnerets, pedipalps (feelers) and 4 pairs of legs. Even though arachnids look different, they are all made the same way. Spinnerets Abdomen Eyes Cephalothorax

Spiders Location Spiders live in many areas of the world. Spiders can live in the hot deserts of Saudi Arabia. Spiders can live near water, in woods and forests. Spiders can live in these places depending on the climate. Keep your eyes open for spiders everywhere! Spider in cave Spider in water

What does a Spider do Spiders have only one job and that is....to capture insects!!! Spiders capture food from air like a cobweb spider. Spiders also capture food from the ground like the tarantula. Spiders capture insects in air by making a web with its spinnerets. Spiders capture insects on ground by surprising its victim. All spiders either capture from web or ground.

What does a Spider eat Spiders eat all sorts of insects and bugs. Spiders also eat their predators. Spiders are carnivores so that means it eats meat to live. But some predators such as scorpions and birds take over spiders. Spiders almost eat any insect. All spiders do have predators. Click hereClick here to see how a spider kills it’s victim

How do Spiders move Spiders all move in the same way. Spiders crawl with 8 legs. Spiders crawl very quietly so they can strike its victim. Spiders are sort of like ninjas. Spiders like to be quiet so they can catch it’s prey.

How Spiders Help Us

Our Responsibilities

How do Spiders Help Us Spiders help us by eating bugs that get caught in there web. If we didn’t have spiders if we would be breathing bugs instead of oxygen!!! This is the reason why you should not kill or step on a spider. Click hereClick here to see how spiders help us.

Our Responsibilities If you see a spider leave it’s habitat’s alone. If you kill a spider you will have more bugs in the world which is bad which means that you should be ashamed of yourself. A dead spider.
