Stray animals Please follow the rule of thumb with stray animals –Let sleeping dogs lie –Don’t touch any animals that don’t belong to your family –Always ask the pet’s owner before you touch
Behavioral Expectations LTHS field trip, Student Handbook applies Rules, curfews, staying in groups, being on time = SAFETY Following directions Remain flexible, cooperative – willing to improvise “The degree to which our trip will be a success = individual choices you make.”
IMPORTANT ! “The degree to which our trip will be a success = individual choices you make.” “Group Think” Be on time. Communicate any concerns or problems. “If in doubt... find out.” Until then – don’t. Remember – we are guests.
The 800 lbs. Gorilla in the Room NO consumption of alcohol ! –NOT “do it... just don’t get caught.” –NOT “oh, well, maybe just a little.” –NOT “what the others don’t know won’t hurt them.” –NOT “I know my limit.” THIS is not “that” trip.
Our interdependency requires that you remain: alert, in control, aware, able to communicate, We will be VERY busy! You’ll need to be at your best. You’ll need to get your rest.
“The degree to which our trip will be successful has everything to do with the individual choices that each one of us will make.”
REMEMBER Mexico has: - a different law enforcement system, - a different legal system, - a different sense of time, and - much to offer.
ALSO REMEMBER - WE ARE... 1)“custodians” of this trip, 2) representatives / ambassadors of: –Self –Family –School –Community –Country.
