Vocabulary Dictatorship--- Total control by one person or group. No personal freedoms Fascism--- A form of government that is extremely nationalistic. Property ownership is allowed but dissent is forbidden

Nazism--- Hitler’s brand of Fascism. Leader chooses the property owners. Includes nationalism that becomes racism Third Reich--- Hitler’s third empire supposed to last 1,000 years, lasted 12.

SS--- Hitler’s private army and bodyguards, greatly feared, operated the death camps. Gestapo--- German state secret police

ADD TO NOTES Isolationism--- Sealing off a country from the rest of the world ( not getting involved in world affairs). USA did this until Mein Kampf---Hitler’s book written in 1924 while in prison---details his plan for world domination
