Confederate Alliances The two alliances in the Civil War were Britain and France. The Confederates sent their representatives to London and Paris, to lobby for official recognition. In the summer of 1812, Lee drove the Union army back across Virginia and the Confederacy was gaining creditability. So in the end, Britain and France had to stay out of it. ot.com rld.com

The Effect the Civil War had on America If the Civil War had not occurred, then America wouldn't be what it is today. If the War hadn’t happened, then we wouldn't be the United States as a whole union. There would be a Confederate States of America and we would probably be living there. Slavery would have kept going on through If the war didn’t take place, the treatment between races would be completely different. ine.com
