October 25, Welcome to the GroupWise 7.0 client The following presentation is an overview of some new features of GroupWise 7.0 You will find: New features A fresh user interface Significant updates

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – New features Home View: The Home view is a new view for the GroupWise 7.0 client. It gives you a quick look at your most important information. The Home view is broken into three sections : Folder list Panels Quick Viewer

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – New features Home view (cont’d): By default, the Folder list displays a condensed list of folders. By default there are three (3) panels displayed: the Calendar, the Checklist and Unread Items. The Home view is customizable: this means you can add the panels you want to see, add items to your Navigation bar, add items to your Toolbar and display a full list or short list of folders in the Folder list.

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – New features Navigation Bar The Navigation bar allows for quick access to your most used Folders, they are just one click away. By default, the Navigation bar contains shortcuts to your: Home view Mailbox Calendar Sent Items, and Contacts The Navigation is customizable, so you can add the shortcuts you use frequently to the Navigation bar.

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – New features Quick Spell Checker The Quick Spell Checker verifies your spelling as you type. The Quick Spell Checker checks the spelling in the items subject and message body. You can choose to correct the spelling by selecting the word from the list of matched words, ignore the word, or add the word to the dictionary. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * You can t urn this feature On or Off Globally for all of your messages.

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – New features HTML Signatures When you create a signature in GroupWise, it is created as an HTML signature. You can create multiple HTML signatures and select a default HTML signature.

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – New features Prevent Image from Displaying in HTML Messages When an HTML message is received, the images are not shown by default for security reasons. This helps prevent viruses and other malicious attack through messages. To display the images, just click the message that states “GroupWise has prevented Images from displaying. Click here to display the image?” You can set GroupWise to always show or never show the warning.

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – New features Search Attachments When you perform a find in GroupWise, the contents of an attachment are searched as well. The attachment must be in a format that GroupWise supports (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, etc.)

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – New features Multiple Calendars You can now create multiple calendars in GroupWise. Each newly created calendar is assigned a colour. You can select which calendars to view in the calendar view by selecting the appropriate one.

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – New features All Day Event GroupWise now has support for all day events. All day events are displayed at the top of the calendar view. When you create an all day event, by default it marks the time as free.

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – New features Change the Background Colour for Calendar Parts You can elect to change the background colour for all-day-events, appointments, reminder notes, and tasks. In addition, you can select to display lines for reminder notes and tasks.

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – New features Accept or Decline Internet Items Appointments, all day-events and tasks that are sent from other Internet collaboration systems can NOW be accepted or declined the same as with GroupWise items.

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – New features Group Labels Group Labels display items in groups with a date header before the group. i.e. Items you receive today are all grouped together with a label with today’s date.

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – New features Add Contacts to a Personal Address Book You can now right-click an addressee in an item and add him or her to any personal address book including your Frequent Contacts address book.

October 25, GroupWise 7.0 – WebAccess What’s New? Work in Progress Folder : Saves drafts or items to be finished later. Name Completion : Finishes known addresses for you. Right-click Menus : Right-click on a folder or item to see a menu of options. Posted Items : Schedule appointments, tasks & reminder notes for yourself and other users. Resend : You can resend items that you have already sent. Drag and Drop : Moves items around your desktop with a click of your mouse.
