Presentation transcript:

From the Pastor Spring has really sprung! Hasn’t the weather been beautiful and this year we are receiving the moisture we so desperately need. I want to thank you for holding on while I was on vacation. Louis and I had a wonderful time in Branson attending the Worldview Weekend, a time of really good preaching and teaching. The music was wonderful, lead by Marty Goetz. He is a Messianic Jew-one who believes in Jesus as the Messiah.

He told stories about his Bar Mitzvah and taught us Hebrew songs of praise to God. He told us that when Jesus comes back we will be able to speak to Him in Hebrew-and won’t He be surprised! The month of May begins tomorrow. In May we have many things to celebrate-Mother’s Day, the end of school and graduations, and Memorial Day. At Salem we also celebrate UMW Sunday which will be held on May 6th. We will hear about the UMW and have a special speaker from Hutchinson. We will also celebrate Holy Communion, remembering all that Jesus has done for us.

May will be an important month to attend church. I’m hoping you will all be here. Our Annual Conference is also held in May-this year it will be on the 23rd to the 25th and will be held at the State Fair grounds in Hutchinson. We have two elected delegates Ruth Preston and Margie McGlachlin. The three of us will be voting on some very important issues. One of the most important will be the vote to merge the Kansas West, Kansas East and Nebraska conferences into one conference.

We will have one Bishop presiding over the three conferences beginning in September. Please let Ruth and Margie know how you feel about this merger so they are able to vote representing this church. May you be blessed as you continue to serve Jesus and grow in your faith and love for Him. Pastor Nancy
