Adjectives are describing words. Adjectives describe or tell about nouns.

Adjectives answer the question “what kind?” What kind ?

We found a big frog!

Big is an adjective. Big describes the noun, frog.

I have a tan cat.

Tan is an adjective. Tan describes the noun, cat.

I played on a sandy beach.

Sandy is an adjective. Sandy describes the noun beach.
