INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING CERTIFICATION BOARD PHILIPPINE INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERS CEBU CHAPTER 1st IECB Certification Examination The Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (PIIE) - through the Industrial Engineering Certification Board (IECB); administered the 1st Industrial Engineering Certification Examination last May 23, 2009 at the Procter and Gamble Auditorium, College of Engineering, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Q. C. The historic examination is participated by new graduates of B.S. in Industrial Engineering and those with less than 10 years of relevant experience.  Sixty examinees took the first nationwide CIE examination and 30 of them successfully passed.

A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from CHED-recognized school/university with an accredited B.S.I.E. program or an internationally accredited program 4. A passing score on the CIE written examination on IE Core Knowledge. The CIE applies a general breadth of knowledge to analysis and evaluation. He should exhibit the minimum standards of competency for Industrial Engineering practice. The scope of practice for the CIE is limited to the use of commonly accepted tools and techniques for the analysis and enhancement of performance in existing systems.
