A European funded Network that includes 21 partners in 9 European countries working together to contribute to the improvement of science education S cience Teaching European Network for Creativity and Innovation in Learning STENCIL

To make Europe more competitive!  Increase of high skilled occupation demand by 2020  The career choice is made very early and it is strongly influenced (among other factors) by teachers met during the school years Why to improve science education?

To increase democracy and participation! Science for All! In the knowledge based society, every citizen needs a basic scientific background to cope with daily issues and public debates More a country is developed less positive is the attitude of youngster toward science Why to improve science education?

Improvements in science education should be brought about through new forms of pedagogy: the introduction of inquiry- based approaches in schools, actions for teachers training to IBSE, and the development of teachers’ networks should be actively promoted and supported ROCARD REPORT

STENCIL offers to science education teachers from all over Europe a multilingual web platform to encourage joint reflection and European cooperation in science education STENCIL-SCIENCE.EU

1.Have a look at the STENCIL eBooks and GET INSPIRED by the description of innovative practices in Science Education STENCIL BOOKS

1.Take part to the Call for participants 2013 and win euros in science kit or as grant to present your project in the 3° Conference in Bologna (IT) by end 2013! 4 projects will be selected by STENCIL partners  2 of them submitted by Schools / Teachers  2 of them submitted by organisations (Museums, Research Centers,….)
