…What’s glass? Is an inorganic product of fusion which has been cooled to a rigid condition without crystallizing. It is a hard material normally fragile and transparent common in our daily life.

Components… Sand Soda ash Limestone It is produced… By fusing these materials at high temperatures, then cooling them quickly, forming a rigid structure, however not having enough time to form a crystalline regular structure.

… Properties Solid and hard material. Disordered and amorphous structure. Fragile and easily breakable into sharp pieces. Transparent to visible light. Inert and biologically inactive material. Glass is 100% recyclable and one of the safest packaging materials due to its composition and properties.

Commercial glass (soda-lime glass): appropiate to use in windows. Lead glass: appropiate for decorating purposes. Borosilicate glass: appropiate for kitchen or chemical labs purposes Safety glass FiberglassFoam glass
