Background(1) In eHRPD, MSISDN(MSID) is needed in many cases. For example Application charging in WAPGW need to use MSISDN to identify the user PGW-UDR and HSGW-UDR also need the MSISDN Page 2

Background(2) HSS can send MSISDN to 3GPP AAA in SWx interface (defined in 3GPP TS29.273) Howerver there is no MSISDN IE in Sta and S2a interface. PGW and WAPGW can not get the user MSISDN in eHRPD. Recently 3GPP has added MSISDN IE to Sta and S2a in R11( only R11). It is mainly using in Wifi access in SAMOG work item Page 3

Impact of the proposals Need to add MSISDN IE in Sta/Pi* and S2a interface in R8/R9/R10 ( which has difined in R11 ) Accordance with LTE/WCDMA HSGW and PGW can get the MSISDN Propolsal2 3GPP AAA should be aware of that the UE is accessing the WAP APN HSGW and PGW cant get the MSISDN and cant include it in UDR Page 9
