GSFC 100km Default Simple Scanning Mode The instrument points towards the illuminated side of the clouds and scans as the satellite moves (see simple scan movie). An extra feature and also descope option can be a second simple camera (between 1 to 3 visible wavelengths for parallax observations of the cloud structure).
