TO DRAW BUILDINGS USING TWO-POINT PERSPECTIVE

UNDERSTAND 2-POINT PERSPECTIVE:

In your sketchbook: -In the index, label this assignment: 2- point perspective -Draw a horizon line across the middle of a clean page -Determine where your two vanishing points will be -Draw a minimum of 7 boxes that line up to your vanishing points -At least one must cross your horizon line **If you include cut outs in your boxes you will receive extra credit.

PHOTOGRAPHING ARCHITECTURE For our next project we will be drawing a house or building of your choice The building must be in two-point perspective Front views or round buildings will not work! It’s best to take a camera out and take photos of your house or surrounding buildings Take a photo from an angle – move so that you can see two sides of the building Visually line up the angles to see where you vanishing point would be

IF YOU DO NOT OWN A CAMERA Google Images – Street View Search your address – if it was recently bought or sold, there may be images online from a recent sale Use a friends phone ***You will need a PRINT OUT of your image!!!!
