OR Senate Bill 844: Carbon Solutions SB 844 Bill Passed in 2013 Allows Oregon natural gas utilities to voluntarily develop greenhouse gas reduction projects. Reduce Net GHG emissions Go Beyond Business as Usual Result in Customer Benefits All Projects Must:

Carbon Solutions Programs Combined Heat and Power Solicitation Stacks with current CHP incentives to reduce the barriers to CHP installation Clean Heat Program Incentivizing residential conversions from oil heat to gas furnaces through equipment incentives, broader opportunity for line extension and a financing tool Waste Water RNG Purchase RNG conditioned to pipeline spec for resale with environmental attributes into the transportation market

Combined Heat & Power Solicitation NW Natural Carbon Solutions incentive stacks with current incentive programs to reduce payback period Carbon incentive paid to customer based on verified savings Ongoing payment for project term provides ongoing financial offset to CHP operation Currently Available SB 844
