Steps to good revision.. Organise a place to revise – agree some rules about being disturbed. Put together a revision timetable – display it in ‘public’ place. Prepare stationary and books etc, avoid ‘excuses’.
The revision space! It is important that revision happens in a place that… is quiet and away from other people. has a space to write and rest books. is well lit (with a reading light) and warm. has a clock (or watch) to monitor the time.
The revision timetable.. Work out what needs to be revised and on what days revision can happen. Produce a timetable using sessions no more than 30 minutes long. Include times off and expect some flexibility. Stick rigidly to the session times. Keep an eye on the time!!
