Interesting Ways to Use Google Apps for Teaching Math Inspired by the work

Google Docs  Students create a math journal and share it with the teacher.

Google Docs  Students write story problems and share with peers who then solve them.

Google Docs  Students contribute in real time to collaborative projects in Google Docs (or on a Google Site—Wiki style). Both choices enable you to use the revision history to track the level of participation of each student.

Google Docs  Use a shared document for students to brainstorm ideas. Thoughts can even be added after the math class ends.

Google Docs  Digital Parking Lot: Share a document so students can ask questions while they are at home. If you are answering a few questions outside of class, it keeps students (and parents) from getting frustrated.

Google and Google Docs  Students research a topic in math. Both the notes and the report can be created and saved in a Google Doc or Google site.

Google Spreadsheet  Collect data from either an experiment or from a website and show the data on a spreadsheet.

Google Docs  Students explain math thinking.

Google Forms  Students can survey their peers and then analyze the results.

Google Forms  Students practice online testing. The good thing for teachers is that Google will grade the work for you!
