Protecting The Eggs The Peregrine Falcons have to protect the egg from getting wet or else the egg will either not hatch or the eyas won’t survive for a long time. The eggs also need to be kept at a constant temperature – about 100 degrees – during incubation. They need to know when the egg won’t hatch.
Feeding The Eyases When feeding the eyases, the male hunts for the food and the female shreds the food and feeds the eyases. When the eyases get a little older, Dad will also feed them. Both parents have to make sure they feed the eyases at the right time or else they will be screaming “I’M HUNGRY!!!”
First Flying Lessons The parents are responsible for making sure the babies can fly before they leave the nest. Babies instinctively learn how to fly just by watching their parents.
