7:30 – here’s my street where I live. It’s a cold, rainy, windy start when I leave for work! These are all tenement flats which are common across Edinburgh. There’s about 10 flats per block. I live on the second floor of mine, the one just at the left of the picture.

10:00 - Here’s a picture of the office where British Council Scotland is located. We’re on the fourth floor

12:30 – Time for some lunch. We have a roof garden at the office where we can sit and get some free time. It looks out onto Edinburgh’s Old Town in the background. Too cold to sit out today though!

13:00 – “Hello!” Back inside, we start assembling for our monthly office meeting. We go through any office business, and teams have an opportunity to talk about upcoming events they have planned. (Time also to plan December’s Christmas party ;-)

15:00 – time for a quick break and some fresh air. We have some great views of Arthut’s Seat & the Old Town just five minutes from the office. In the bottom left is where the Scottish Parliament is located.

7:00pm – I leave work to dash over to the local community centre. On Tuesday’s I take part in a samba drumming class. It’s a great way to unwind and a fun way to spend the evening!
