PRONOUNS Personal/Possessive
PRONOUNS A pronoun is used in place of a noun or nouns. Some common pronouns include: he, her, him, I, it, me, she, them, they, us, and we.
ANTECEDENTS An antecedent is the word(s) to which a pronoun refers. EX: Sally called to say she will arrive late.
SUBJECTIVE PRONOUNS A subjective pronoun acts as the subject of the sentence. It performs the action of the verb. EX: He spends each afternoon riding his bike.
OBJECTIVE PRONOUNS An objective pronoun acts as the object of the sentence. It receives the action of the verb. EX: Take a picture of him, not us!
POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS A possessive pronoun tells you who owns something. EX: The red basket is mine.
