Sentence Length Activity Directions: Write a series of sentences, using the same subject, starting with “staccato” and progressing through “long.” Skip a line on your notebook paper between each sentence. Make sure your sentences make grammatical sense! Accurately and deliberately use punctuation! Staccato = one to two words, abrupt. Use the word “education” for this!!! Telegraphic = shorter than 5 words. Short = approx words. Medium = approx words. Long = 30 or more words.

Identify 2-3 strengths you have in writing essays Identify 2-3 weaknesses you have in writing essays What is one writing specific goal you have for AP English this year?
