Density Rainbow Experiment January 2015 UF IFAS Extension Levy County 53  Divide the class into groups of 4.  Each group to gather supplies:  Supplies  Worksheet  3 pipettes  1 clear cup  1 set of crayons  1 set of solutions  Paper towels

 Students, answer questions 1-6 on your worksheet. Do this as a team or as instructed by your teacher. Once you have answered the first six questions sit quietly until all the groups have finished. January 2015 UF IFAS Extension Levy County 54

 Complete the experiment together as a class according to the directions from the teacher or on the worksheet.  Be very careful when adding the different solutions so as to not bump the cup. January 2015 UF IFAS Extension Levy County 55
