Native Kansans All Kansans are descended from immigrants even the Native Americans Where did the first Native Americans come from? How long ago did they migrate here? Why did they come? How long did it take them to get to Kansas?

Native Kansans How do we decide when prehistoric people lived? How do we know about these people? What three scientists help us study these people? Turn to page 23 and look at the map to see where the different tribes lived. What tribe lived close to Rice County?
