Comanche Indians BYGAGE,KEENAN, MARKAYTHIA

HOMES THE COMANCHE INDIANS WERE ONCE PART OF THE NORTHERN SHOSHONE TRIBE OF WYOMING,BUT SPLIT OFF FROM THEM AND MIGRATED TO THEIR MODERN LOCTION IN THE SOUTHERN PLAINS.

Homes They lived in homes called tipi’s. They made them out of buffalo hides and long,wooden poles.

CLOTHING IN MOST TRIBES,NATIVE AMERICAN MEN WORE BREECHCLOUTS OR BREECH- CLOTHES Rectagular piece of hide or cloth tucked over flaps fell down in front and behind sometimes with leather legging attac hed in colder climates.

FOOD/SURVIVAL The Comanches eat buffalo, deer and elk they did not plant crops.they gatherd food that grew naturally. In summer and fall,the e entire band moved near the buffalo herds.

TRANSPORTATION They traveled by boats, feet and horses.

Fun facts They made there own bows and arrows. By carving them out of trees. They made there own protecion shields. they make them out of buffalo. They are made so well that it could stop a bullet. Comanche artist are famous for there silver and cooper jewlery and fire bed work. An another fact is they have had a traditional saramony called a powwow.
