More About Jesus…  Shouldn’t we desire to grow?  2 Peter 3:17-18 – “ You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”

Maturing In Christ  Ephesians 4:14-16  Christ gave gifts to the church to mature us  No longer to be children  Until we become, “…a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ….we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ….”

How Do We Grow?  2 Peter 1:4-8  To faith add moral excellence  Add knowledge  Add self control  Add perseverance  Add godliness  Add brotherly kindness  Add love

More About Jesus Let Me Learn  By way of His holy word  1 Peter 2:1-2 – “ Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.”

The Word Which Grows….  Acts 12:24 – “But the word of the Lord continued to grow and to be multiplied.”  Acts 19:20 – “So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.”

We must continue in His word…  John 8:31 – “So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed in Him, ‘If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine…’”

Thereby Abiding In Him…  John 14:23 -- ” Jesus answered and said to him, ‘If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.’”

More Of His Kingdom  Mark 10: And Jesus, looking around, said to His disciples, “How hard it will be for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!” The disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! Come, Lord Jesus  Revelation 22:20 – “ He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.”
