Electronics Disposal Replaces old Dyntek/AERC contract Secure Data Destruction Service – Agencies are not required to wipe data – Contractor will wipe data on site of off to VITA standards Electronics will be recycled to meet all Federal and State requirements Agencies Do Not need a disposal authorization letter from OSPM prior to using the contract
Electronics Disposal Go to website Click on Commonwealth of Virginia Register and obtain ID/Password Access Registered User link and enter inventory information CRS will contact user for pickup schedule
Electronics Disposal Pick up Process – Before Arrival – Driver will call the customer minutes before arrival to confirm the specific pick up location – Driver will assess the load to confirm it is similar to entered order – Driver will complete necessary paperwork and load onto truck – After loading the truck is sealed and locked securely
Electronics Disposal Pick ups may result in either a charge or payment Invoices/payments will be processed within days of pickup. Similar to previous contract - invoices/payments will go directly to the surplusing agency
Internet Sales Property can be sold in place Items sold “where is/as is” – Disclose known defects – Provide a complete description – especially for power type equipment – Note abnormal conditions – size, weight, etc. If property does not sell a disposal authorization letter will be sent
Internet Sales DGS Surplus Form – Contact information – Needs to be accessible for questions – Pick up requirements – Highlight if special situations exist – Financial information – Make certain lower right portion of form is complete completed form and pictures to Surplus for posting
