Gardening/landscaping also may be a spring spending bright spot—more Have shoppers plan to spend more than plan to spend less. Apparel Have Not spending intentions outpace Haves—especially for kids’ wardrobes. For children’s clothes, the proportion of Have Nots who plan to spend more outnumbers those who plan to spend less—one of only two categories with this math across both Haves and Have Nots.
