RTR Interoperability Strategy Principal Software Engineer, RTR Integration Center Jim Lundy

Disclaimers  The technology being discussed in this presentation is still under development  There is no commitment from Compaq to deliver this technology (however, we do plan to)  If this technology is delivered in a product, it may appear differently than as described in this presentation

Problem  Today’s e-commerce requires an infrastructure for executing transactions between RTR applications  Many customers require interoperability between RTR and other environments

Sharing data between facilities? TR ? ?

Sharing data between applications? TR ? ? RTR HP Sun Tandem

Solution: RTRnet  RTRnet is an interoperability component for creating a network of RTR facilities.  Adds synchronous transactions between RTR facilities.  Adds asynchronous store-and-forward of transactions between RTR facilities.  Brings RTR capabilities to Tandem NSK.  Customizable for interoperation with many protocols: MQ Series, LU6.2, MSMQ.
