Have a limit and a way to enforce it (keep beer tabs, move bracelets from one wrist to another) Take cash, not credit cards Keep trusted, sober friends with you at all times Don’t go to unfamiliar places Stay in one place and stay overnight Stick to BAC Eat before you drink Alternate with non-alcoholic beverages Have a designated driver/take public transportation Don’t operate machinery or put yourself in hazardous situations (like swimming or biking) Don’t allow alcohol in your residence hall room Don’t carry open containers or use a fake ID Abstainers Lead by example Organize alternative activities Support someone who chooses not to drink at an event where alcohol is present Be a designated driver Set a plan in advance with friends who are drinking When negative consequences happen, talk to friends about it afterwards
