Hernan Cortes was a Spanish nobleman who sailed to Mexico searching for adventure and wealth.

Hernan Cortes left in 1519 with Spain as his sponsor.

His exploration started in 1519 and ended in 1521.

His claim for fame was he claimed land for Spain.

The impact of Cortes’s exploration was he claimed land for Spain, people were killed, and he spread diseases.

An interesting fact is that Aztecs emperor, Montezuma II, thought Hernan Cortes was a god and sending him gifts of gold.
