Helps regulate body temperature 3 types: saturated, unsaturated and trans Saturated = meat and animal products Unsaturated = plants, foods and fish Trans = margarine Essential fat for men is 4% body weight Essential fat for woman is 10-13%

Sources are... beef poultry dairy eggs 2 types… complete: animal products incomplete : vegetables

2 types insoluble and soluble Insoluble cannot be digested Soluble helps lower cholesterol Insoluble = oats, beans Soluble =whole grain food, Men need more fibre than woman Helps constipation People need more fibre as they age.
