WERT Intercollege Dissemination Activities Prepared by Intercollege EU Office 3 rd SCM – Finland September 2011

Overall Dissemination Strategy Goals and Objectives  Raise Awareness: about WERT and the issues in hand  Inform Individual Women: about WERT and possible participation in planned activities  Disseminate: the project outputs  Engage stakeholders: in the project  Implementing Partners: Intercollege (Core Partner) in collaboration with the Association of Cypriot Women in Tourism (Associate Partner)

Targeted Dissemination Activities and Results March 2011 – September 2011  Our priority was to connect with the women in the primary target group:  On May 18th, Intercollege in collaboration with the Cyprus Women Association in Tourism, held an informational and task force meeting presenting the WERT project. A total of 21 people participated, most of them women entrepreneurs who seemed eager to participate in the project's activities.  A Press Release regarding the Event (Greek/English) was sent out to all media plus the target group (65+ women in database) plus over 700 other contacts.

Informational & Task Force Meeting  Results  Training Course: women are eager to participate in the training program in order to acquire practical and customized knowledge and advise on how to better manage and expand their own business. Developing a business plan, understanding key financial aspects and e-marketing were mentioned as top priorities.  Training Delivery: women stated that personal, in class training would be more beneficial to them than e-learning since they look forward to interacting with other women and receiving feedback from an experienced trainer. Also, some women stated that are not very familiar with computers – so they would only be able to participate in classroom training.  On-line Community: women welcome the opportunity for networking on a national and European level and look forward to connecting with other women working in the same field. The website – on-line community - should be kept simple and practical so women would find it easy to navigate.

Informational and Task Force Meeting May 18 th, 2011

Video Success Story  We created a 5-minute video story based on a very successful woman entrepreneur participating in the WERT Project – “Niki Sweets” in Agros Village  The Video will be uploaded on the WERT website. In addition we will try to promote in the media during the promotion of the Pilot Training Course.

Future Activities  Inform the target group and the media about the Pilot Training Course  Promote WERT in general media  Focus on the creation of the on-line community  Thank you…..
