MONOKUMA UPUPUPU. YOU SHOULD KNOW NOT TO USE COPYRIGHT IMAGES OR MATERIAL.

Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 The law gives the creators of literary, dramatic, musical, artistic works, sound recordings, broadcasts, films and typographical arrangement of published editions, rights to control the ways in which their material may be used. What acts are your restricted from doing due to this Law? is an offence to perform any of the following acts without the consent of the owner: Copy the work. Rent, lend or issue copies of the work to the public. Perform, broadcast or show the work in public. Adapt the work. The author of a work, or a director of a film may also have certain moral rights: The right to be identified as the author. Right to object to derogatory treatment.

How could you get permission to use work on the Internet? Ask permission from the creator if you can use this material for your own project.

Some limited activities that are allowed without infringing copyright. Research and private study 1.The copy is made for the purposes of research or private study. 2.The copy is made for non-commercial purposes. 3.The source of the material is acknowledged. 4.The person making the copy does not make copies of the material available for a number of people. Instruction or examination 1.The copying is done by the student or the person giving instruction. 2.The copying is not done via a reprographic process. 3.The source of the material is acknowledged. 4.The instruction is for a non-commercial purpose. What does non-commercial purposes mean? “Non-Commercial”. It simply states “You may not use this work for commercial purposes.” What does ‘source of the material acknowledged’?

Read the scenarios on the next few slides and write an answer to the question on each slide IN THE NOTES SECTION MONOKUMA
