Fundamental problem Given that the scenario states that relationships in the year 2047 are poor, leading to selfishness as well as a cold society, it could be a problem for the people in 2047 as society will become a place where hardly anybody cares for one another or is able to communicate with each other properly on a face-to-face basis. How might we improve relationships between friends, families and colleagues such that society becomes a much friendlier place in the year 2047?

Solution 1 Encourage companies to have team-bonding activities. Workers will view each other as friends Companies will have a few hang-outs annually and employees can have fun and bond together Colleagues can trust and confide among themselves Employees’ relationships and sense of belonging is improved

Solution 1  An article from “Sustainable Employee Motivation”: Icebreakers help to break down natural barriers between people. Employees interact among themselves differently than with others. They will loosen up after team bonding events

Solution 2 Encourage community bonding throughout communities around the world Funfairs and games will allow community members to strengthen relationships They will have a strong sense of belonging to the community

Solution 4 (cont’d) Neighbours' Day has already been successfully implemented in 46 countries all around the world By making Neighbours' Day worldwide and more frequent, this will result in communities being more united as neighbours will be well known to one another.

Criteria 2 Which solution can be implemented the fastest so that the situation can be prevented at an early stage and allow relationships between friends, family and colleagues to remain close before the problem begins?

Criteria 3 Which solution is the most convenient to implement so that it will cause as little trouble as possible and can be implemented smoothly for friends, families and colleagues in society?

Criteria 4 Which solution will reach out the furthest such that more people would want to and get to take part, so that most friends, families and colleagues will have their relationships improved?

Criteria 5 Which solution will have the longest lasting effect for the people in the communities in the future scene so that the friends, families and colleagues can maintain their close relationships for a long time?

Best solution: Solution 5 We, the UN humanitarian officers, will organize goal setting events for the community. These events will occur all around the world by the year This will be done through goal setting events that encourage people to share their goals for the community. People will then realize that their community members have much in common and new friends can be made. This will allow the community to get together and aim to achieve set targets as a whole. People can bond with each other and relationships are improved.
