(Pre) Qualifications Set Standards- Type of driver desired PSP. a must! It communicates what you can expect. Standards! MVR. (Motor Vehicle record) Driving history. Standards! Criminal Background. In customers homes. Standards! Pre-employment verifications-work history. Standards! Explore employment gaps. Document gaps. Standards!

Set Standards to be “Best of the Best” PSP Standards for Qual. & Retention! - Set Max violation amount allowable - Set violation probation threshold - Be Strict on Alcohol or drug convictions! - Be Strict on CDL Suspensions!

Example PSP Standards Breakdown violations by CSA BASICS UNSAFE (Severe), radar detector=1/12, 2/12, 3/24, 4/36. FATIGUED DRIVING, (Severe)=HOS/False/ILL-Fatigued DRIVER FITNESS,(Severe)= No CDL/Susp/Disqual.CDL DRUGS/ALOCHOL=NONE in 12! 1in 36/ no dui in CMV. CRASH, 2/12,3/24/4/36……Documentation preventability VIOLATING AN OOS= 1 in 36 (Documentation) DOCUMENT REASONS FOR ANY EXCEPTIONS!

Driver Qualification Example Standards MVR – Moving Violations No more than 2 in 12 months No more than 3 in 24 months No more than 4 in 36 months No reckless driving conviction in 36 months No hit&run in past 10 years – 1 ever DWI –none in past 3 years

Criminal Standards (Example) No felony in past 10 years – 1 ever None in a commercial vehicle or heinous nature

Misdemeanor Standards (Example) No more than one in past 3 years No more than one in past 5 years No more than two in past 10 years No more than three ever

Accident Standards (Example) No more than two preventable within past 3 years (in any vehicle) Rear-end /none in past 3 years
