I Corinthians 16:13

Definition stand fast- To be firm, to have commitment—keep in your ranks. Do not be disorderly; be determined to keep your ranks unbroken; keep close together. On your unity your preservation depends; if the enemy succeeds in breaking your ranks, and dividing one part of this sacred army one from another, your rout will be inevitable.

Definition Stand Fast-Synonymous with… Steadfastness; not wishy washy; not wavering; fixed; grounded; standing firm. 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Areas In Which We Are To Stand Fast  Stand fast in the covenant of God. Psalm 89:28 My mercy I will keep for him forever, And My covenant shall stand firm (stand fast-KJV) with him. (NKJV)

 Stand fast in the covenant of God.  Stand fast in our liberty. Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (NKJV) Areas In Which We Are To Stand Fast

 Stand fast in the covenant of God.  Stand fast in our liberty. Acts 15:10 Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? (NKJV) Areas In Which We Are To Stand Fast

 Stand fast in one spirit. Philippians 1:27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, Areas In Which We Are To Stand Fast

 Stand fast in the Lord.  Stand fast in traditions. 2 Thessalonians 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle. (NKJV) Areas In Which We Are To Stand Fast

Stand Fast In The Faith  The Corinthians were admonished to stand fast in the faith. 1 Corinthians 16:13 Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. (NKJV)

Stand Fast In The Faith  Synonymous with standing fast in the faith. Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith." (NKJV)

 Continue in the faith. Colossians 1:23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. Stand Fast In The Faith

 Continue in the faith. Luke 17:5 And the apostles said to Jesus, “Increase our faith.” Stand Fast In The Faith

 Continue in the faith. Stand Fast In The Faith 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.

 Continue in the faith.  Established in the faith. Colossians 2:7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. (NKJV) Stand Fast In The Faith

 Sound in the faith. Titus 1:10-13 For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, 11 whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain. (con’t.) Stand Fast In The Faith

 Sound in the faith. Titus 1:10-13 (con’t.) 12 One of them, a prophet of their own, said, "Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons." 13 This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, (NKJV) Stand Fast In The Faith

 Sound in the faith.  Love in the faith. Titus 3:15 All who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen. (NKJV) Stand Fast In The Faith

 Sound in the faith.  Love in the faith.  Steadfast in the faith. 1 Peter 5:8-9 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. Stand Fast In The Faith

How Do We Stand Fast In The Faith?  Love God. 1 John 3:16-17 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? (NKJV)

 Love God. 1 John 4:19 We love Him because He first loved us. (NKJV) 1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. (NKJV) How Do We Stand Fast In The Faith?

 Love God. John 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments. (NKJV) Jude 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (NKJV) How Do We Stand Fast In The Faith?

 Love God. Psalm 116:1 I love the LORD, because He has heard My voice and my supplications. (NKJV) How Do We Stand Fast In The Faith?

 Love God.  Obey God. John 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments. (NKJV) Romans 6:17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. How Do We Stand Fast In The Faith?

 Obey God (by obeying laws of the land). Romans 13:1-2 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. How Do We Stand Fast In The Faith?

 Obey God. Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man's all. (NKJV) How Do We Stand Fast In The Faith?

Why Do We Need Faith?  Remission of sins. Romans 3:23-25 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, (NKJV)

 Remission of sins. Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, NKJV Why Do We Need Faith?

 Salvation is offered on the ground of faith. Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. (NKJV) Why Do We Need Faith?

 Faith is the means of our becoming children of God. Galatians 3:26-27 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (NKJV) Why Do We Need Faith?

 Faith is required for forgiveness of sins. Acts 26:17-18 I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, 18 'to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.' (NKJV) Why Do We Need Faith?

 Faith is required to please God. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (NKJV) Why Do We Need Faith?
